Once upon a time, there were two sporting teams. Rivalry between the Corks and the Screws was high. They battled it out on the cricket pitch for glory. Well, the cricket team is no longer, and the pitch looks like becoming yet more desirable executive homes for countryside living... BUT we fight on. With rounders bats and a beautiful, unspoilt venue at Crowhurst Village Hall.
Everyone is welcome at our forthcoming family fun day on Saturday 24th June from 3pm. Anyone there before 4pm can play in a rounders team, with a much-coveted trophy at stake.
We're even getting a license so we can serve you delicious local ales, wines, gins and soft drinks at very tasty prices, and there's a barbecue to help soak it all up! Various fun other activities, along with LIVE MUSIC from the fabulous Asif Outlaws and Annie Harewood.
So come along and play (or at least cheer us on), eat drink and be merry!
